Contrary to falling shares and company shuffling, BlackBerry isn't giving up yet. A leaked video shown on Channel S shows the newest BlackBerry device: the 5-inch Z30 for AT&T. There are a few things that can be determined from the video, and one of those things is that this phone will likely debut in the US due to that AT&T connection. Here's what else you can expect from the Z30.

BlackBerry Z30 Details

In addition to sporting an 'AT&T' logo, the new Z30 also has a five-inch AMOLED screen with a 720p resolution. 16GB of storage, dual-core processor, and an 8-megapixel camera. In some ways, the new Z30 loos a lot like the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One combined. In others, it looks like a few different phones that are currently on the market.

Channel S has stated that the new Z30 will be available this coming Fall, though no release date has been announced yet. Even though the Z30 looks promising, BlackBerry still has a long way to go before the company can win back lost users. BlackBerry was once easily the third contender in the smartphone battle, but the Waterloo company has easily slid to the bottom of the phone bunch.

Meanwhile...

Other phone manufacturers like Microsoft have been trying to take that third position. BlackBerry's phones seem to come too little too late, and, often, the devices that BlackBerry offers are not as impressive as they should be. Will the Z30 live up to what former BlackBerry users expect, or will this phone fall flat again?

If BlackBerry doesn't get this phone out in time (which seems to be par for the course with BlackBerry), the company might not stand a chance at the holiday rush. It will also be hard for the company to win back lost users, even with a new phone that looks great. Whether or not BlackBerry will debut this phone in Canada will also be a deciding factor for Canadian BlackBerry users.

The Competition Heats Up

This Fall, BlackBerry will likely be competing against Apple's new iPhone (or iPhones), and that won't be an easy competition. The current BB10 devices on the market are not selling well to say the least, and hopefully that's not an indicator of what will happen with the Z30.

The new Z30 does look pretty great, and it seems to be packed with some things that users want. Whether or not BlackBerry will be able to get back in the race, though, has yet to be seen. If you want to check out the video mentioned in this article, head to Channel S to see what the fuss is about.

Would you purchase the new Z30? Or, is it far too late for Blackberry to make a comeback? The jury is still out on this one, but it doesn't seem like BlackBerry is going to be able to entice many users with the Z30 - not unless this phone is really mind-blowing, that is. Again, the Z30 is expected to arrive this Fall, and no price has yet been mentioned.
