Choose Your Own iPad Adventure Books

The people that originally brought you Choose Your Own Adventure (Choose Co.)books back in the day are working on an iPad app targeted at young kids. This app would work much like those books of old except, well, it's an app for an iPad and not a book (so, it will be a lot harder to read ahead or flip through all options!).

The new iPad books come with large buttons that kids can easily tap on to move forward in a book, and the stories are every bit as colorful and magical as you might remember. The first book in this iPad app lineup has already been designed, and it's called 'Your Very Own Robot.'

Your Very Own Robot: A Synopsis

The first Choose Your Own iPad adventure, 'Your Very Own Robot', includes a robot named 'Gus.' This story comes with eleven different ending options, but since this is an iPad story it comes with a lot more than that. This story also includes lots of animated scenes that are really fun to watch, and kids will love the way that Gus dances and moves across the screen.

Readers can build Gus from scrap parts, and watch as Gus comes to life. The whole story is a lot of fun, and it's really neat to see where Gus goes when you choose various endings. Love this idea? Where can you pick up a bit of nostalgia for your iPad or to share with your kids? Well, the makers of this app are letting you choose. How? With a Kickstarter campaign, of course!

Choose Your Own Pledge Amount!

It's really kind of fitting that Choose Co. has decided to create a Kickstarter campaign in order to fun the new iPad adventure app. You can choose to purchase a story, or you can back the company for $10,000 and have dinner with the creators of this app (you can also pledge a lower amount and get a cameo in one of the new stories).

The company needs $130,000, but has only gained around $30,000 at the time of this writing. Currently (again, at the time of this writing), there are eleven days to go before this campaign ends, so make sure to pledge now. If you want to spread the Choose Your Own Adventure love, you can pledge as little as $1 to help the company out.
