Google Shopper has been around for a while. Interestingly, most people haven’t heard about Google Shopper. But, you should be interested in this app. Why? The holiday season is upon us.

This means that you will have to start shopping for lots of gifts sooner rather than later. Even though shopping for gifts is necessary, it’s not necessary to spend all of your money. Seeking out deals is part of the holiday shopping fun – and Google Shopper makes finding deals easy.

Google Shopper is available for both iOS and Android. This app has also just been updated to include additional features – more on that in a minute. Using Google Shopper you can find local deals, online deals, scan barcodes, and more.

In short, Google Shopper makes it easier for you to find that perfect gift and keep some money in your wallet. Never used Google Shopper? You aren’t alone. But, here’s how to do it:

Using Google Shopper for iOS or Android

There are a few different ways to use Google Shopper. You can begin by conducting a regular old Google search for the product you’re looking for. Or, you can scan a barcode in order to find out if you have the best price in town. Google Shopper will list places where the product you want to purchase is available, in addition to prices.

Now, Google Shopper also includes a Sales section. Clicking on the Sales tab will bring up a search. Enter the item you’re looking for in the search bar, and then see where the item is on sale in your town. The Sales feature is quite good, and really helpful if you’re looking for something super specific.

It is also possible to search for items via cover art or by voice. Really, it’s impossible not to find most items using Google Shopper. The only downside here is that this app only works in the United States.

So, if you live in Canada and want to save, I suggest that you take a short trip across the border and look elsewhere. Why doesn’t Google Shopper work in Canada or other countries? Google hasn’t gotten that far yet. But, this may be a possibility in the near future.

Included Updates

Google Shopper now comes with a much larger interface that’s also clearer than ever before. Using the new interface, you can see bigger photos of products, so that you can really find what you’re looking for. Google is also including details from the GoodGuide rating book. This book lets consumers know if a product is a good deal or not.

So, if you’re not sure whether or not your daughter will like that iPhone watch, you can simply look at the GoodGuide rating using Google Shopper. The whole process is simple, user-friendly, and really what you want to do if you need to buy gifts for a whole bunch of people.

Google new Shopper updates are currently available. If you live in the United States and you want to give this app a try, you can find Google Shopper in Google Play or in the App Store. Currently, Shopper is not available for Windows or BlackBerry.
