The upcoming U.S. presidential election will be a huge one. In fact, this election will be one for the history books. Google doesn’t want to miss out. Further, Google doesn’t want you to miss out. Google execs have decided to post lots of voting information and data for the general voting public to view. All of this data can be seen on the Google Politics and Elections site. This site features current news stories centered on each candidate, data about polling, and, now, a way for all U.S. citizens to vote.

In addition to voting and polling details, Google has equipped its Politics and Elections site with voter registration details. If you have never registered to vote, aren’t sure how to vote, want to vote through the mail, or have any additional questions, Google’s new political page will help you out.

How to Register To Vote

As an American, it is your right to vote. Don’t throw that vote away. When you visit the Google Politics and Elections {{http://www.google.com/elections/ed/us|Politics and Elections}} site, you will see a tab at the top of the page titled “Voter Info.” Clicking on this tab will bring you to a page that lists the ways that you can vote. Next to the “Turbo Vote” tab, there’s a “Get Started” button. Click on this button in order to start the registration process.

The Turbo Vote form will ask you for your basic information. Things like your name, email address, and last name are necessary in order to register to vote. The form takes approximately ten minutes to fill out. Once you’ve completed the form, you should receive an email from Turbo Vote confirming your registration information. From there, you will receive emails and updates that pertain to voting. When it comes time, you will be able to vote without any issues. Google has made registering to vote as simple as filling out a form – not bad at all.

YouTube Coverage

Google has also dedicated a YouTube channel to election coverage. If you really want to jump into politics, checking out videos on this channel is a great way to do it. You will be privy to all kinds of debates and information. Google also plans to live broadcast the Democratic National Convention that will take place in September. You can tune into television stations in order to view coverage of certain events too, but Google’s YouTube stream is sure to be faster and more up to date than the rest.

Why is Google getting so involved in voting? Not only can the company not afford to take part in this election in some manner, but the upcoming election will greatly impact the U.S. Everyone who can vote really should vote this time around. No matter where you are or what you are doing, if you are an American citizen you can register to vote. To fill out a registration form, see what’s happening on the political front, or just tap into some news stories from Google, make sure to click on the link listed above.
