Even if you don’t have an unlimited budget, there are some essential devices that you’ll probably need for school this year. One of those devices is a laptop or desktop. But, really, this is a given. You may also want to check out a tablet or two if you have some extra dough to spare. Tablets are much easier to tote around and great when it comes to reading text or watching movies. In addition to a tablet, laptop, or desktop, you will definitely need a phone, so that you can connect with friends or call mom. But, I’m guessing that you already have a phone or are awaiting the new iPhone 5 announcement to get one.

So, is there anything else that you will need for college this year? If you’ve crossed phone, laptop or desktop, and tablet off of your list, there are still some devices that will help make this year much easier. It also helps that pretty much every tech retailer under the sun is offering back to school discounts right now.
