Everyone wants to look unique. The best way to do this is to find cute boutiques in all the right towns to buy awesome items from. Of course, this means that you will have to travel to those towns, find those boutiques, and then go through all the items offered. Well, this used to be the way to do things. Now, there’s a site called Shoptiques that all women really need to get behind.

Shoptiques lets you shop online from many of the top boutiques in the U.S. (the site is in beta, so it’s possible that other countries will be added soon). Items from these shops have been added to the Shoptiques website, and you can find the most original shoes, hats, bags, dresses, skirts – you name it – on this site. Best of all, signing up for the site is free and a sign up doesn’t include any annoying wait lists or invite only access – watch out, Gilt, your days are numbered.

Using Shoptiques

Here’s what I love the most about Shoptiques: when I reviewed the site, all I had to do was look at the page, choose a category (or boutique according to location), and choose the items I wanted. I wasn’t forced to sign up for the email newsletter (but I did because, hey, who wants to miss the latest adds?). I also wasn’t forced to ask my friends to join or any other nonsense. It was just me, a website full of pretty things, and my mouse – happy day!

So what kinds of items will you find on the site? Well, those kinds of items that are coveted, placed in beauty magazines, found inside of celebrity homes, and cherished for life. Best of all, the prices on the site range from very affordable to extremely high according to the item you choose, but you won’t find haute couture top designer brands here, this isn’t BlueFly. What you will find are amazing pumps, canvas bags that rock, jackets to die for, and everything else that you’d discover while boutique shopping in your favorite city.

Locations Offered Thus Far

Speaking of your favorite city, what cities has the site targeted thus far? You’ll find NYC (including Brooklyn boutiques and Manhattan boutiques), Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago. If you keep checking the site, you will see new boutiques popping up daily, and I can guarantee you that you won’t see stuff on this site that you’ll find anywhere else. Then, when one of your girlfriends asks you: “where did you get that awesome bag?” You can respond: “oh, at a little boutique in Brooklyn…or some other town.”

As you can probably tell, Shoptiques is a great concept and it’s a site that I’m sure you’ll love. I spent an hour or so looking at the site, and I can tell you that there were more than a few things worth purchasing! So, ladies, what are you waiting for?
