If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ll want to be front and center for the release of Star Wars: Battlefront this coming November. At the latest Gamescom conference, EA showed off some new game features that target serious Star Wars fans - if you’re in that category, you’ll want to check this out.

The Very Best Star Wars Experience

The newest gameplay mode to be added to Star Wars: Battlefront is the Fighter Squadron mode that lets users play a part in 20-player fights of all kinds (dogfights, Millennium Falcon, and TIE fighter). Fighter Squadron mode will put you directly in the cockpit during those fights, so you can see what fighting is really like from a gaming perspective. Developers wanted players to really experience the game based on the movie, and putting people directly in the cockpit during fights is one of the best ways to accomplish this goal.

The gaming company has also shown off some other parts of the game that will get serious Star Wars fans excited including a Jedi lightsaber battle on the ground, which is sure to spark your interests if you’ve always wanted to hold a lightsaber (even if it is a video game!). Star Wars is one of the longest running franchises out there, and the variety of games that have been created to emulate the movie are astounding. Some games are more involved than others, though, and the latest Star Wars: Battlefront will prove to be one of those games, it seems.

Other Star Wars Gaming Options

There’s another Star Wars game available on iOS and Android that already have Star Wars fans hooked. The game is called Knights of the Old Republic, and thousands of iOS and Android users are already playing this game non-stop. If you want a dose of Star Wars on your phone or tablet, this game is for you.

There are other Star Wars games floating around the Internet and in app stores too. Any one of them will please a Star Wars fan, but few will compare to what EA is about to offer (then again, the Star Wars: Battlefront game isn’t available in mobile form, so take that into consideration if you rarely play console games).

Release Information

As for the new Star Wars: Battlefront game, this game will be available on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 this coming November. EA has a release date set for November 17th, so the game will be available just in time for the holiday season. What the game will be priced at has yet to be announced, but you can bet that it will be competitive. The game should be available both online and through major retailers.

If you’re looking for a good holiday gift for someone that loves games and Star Wars, it’s hard to think of a better option. Of course, that person has to have the console to go with it, or be willing to play a PC game, but you can always snag one of those playing options to go with your gift.
