Everyone likes to look at a video. Websites that include videos are often more popular than website that don’t. Yet, few people know how to create a nice video or how to put a video on a webpage that really stands out. Of course, there’s the photography factor too. You have to know a thing or two about shooting a panoramic photo in order to create a panoramic video.
If you’re skilled with a camera and love to take panoramic shots, you’ll love TourWrist.

If you have no idea how to take a panoramic shot, you’ll love TourWrist too. TourWrist allows users to download panoramic videos, and to borrow shots from people who have uploaded some great videos. Once downloaded or uploaded, these videos can then be added to any website thanks to some handy website code that TourWrist provides.

How the Site Works

After heading to the website (www.tourwrist.com), you will see a few different categories to the left-hand side of your screen. These categories include Browse, Tour of the Day, Home/Hotel of the Day, and Photographer of the Day. Clicking on any one of these categories will bring you to a series of photographs that correspond to the category selected. Inside of each category, subcategories exist. You can spend hours going through all of the photographs inside of each category/subcategory.

You can share a panoramic photograph, create a number of marketing tools that correspond to the photograph (including QR codes), and rate a photograph (you have to sign up for this tool). It is also possible to download a panoramic photograph, place that photograph inside of your website, and you can even download the TourWrist app for your smartphone.

If you happen to be a photographer, you can click
on the “Create A Tour” button towards the top of the screen, and choose the type of tour (iPhone, Professional, One Shot) that you want to create. If you are trying to make a name for yourself, TourWrist may be a good place to do it. This site is entirely free (you won’t be paid for your work), but many people use this site every day, and TourWrist is quickly catching on.

Funding Issues?

Even though TourWrist is a novel idea, one has to wonder how this company will generate money. Both the iPhone app and the actual website are free to use as much or as little as a user wants to. As of the time of this writing, there are no advertisements on the TourWrist website, so you don’t need to worry about these annoying ads running across any panoramic photograph you decide to download. On the other hand, TourWrist will have to gain funding somehow.

Word has it that TourWrist does have some investors lined up, but the site still needs to make money. In addition, TourWrist is not the only site of this type available (though is the one site with a slick interface). Whether or not TourWrist will be here in the future is anyone’s guess, though it is safe to say that TourWrist will be a lot of fun for users of all types while it lasts.
