R-Crypto uses separate cryptographic service providers to perform all its data encryption /hashing /key generation operations. Those cryptographic service providers may be either those already built into the Windows operating system (like Microsoft Strong Cryptographic Provider and Microsoft Enhanced RSA and AES Cryptographic Provider built into Windows XP), or obtained separately and installed by the user itself. That ensures that only known and reliable implementations of cryptography are used.
R-Crypto supports the following cryptographic providers and their respective algorithms that are pre-installed in the Windows operating system by default:
Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista
Cryptographic providers : Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider and Microsoft Strong Cryptographic Provider
