Sony’s Got the Sound Down

If you use these headphones without activating the noise-cancelling option, you will find that some noises are still quite audible. But, to be fair, these are noise-cancelling headphones, and they are meant to cancel out noise (read: use the AI NC button). When flipped, the AI NC button really does block out most things that you don’t want to hear. Music played through these headphones also has great sound, which isn’t a surprise given the fact that Sony has created this headset.
